Jumia Kenya customers in Nairobi will effective this week get free deliveries for orders above Ksh. 1000, the e-commerce platform has announced.
The move, the e-commerce platform says, will spur more business on its e-platform while giving shoppers the chance to enjoy a rewarding online shopping experience.
According to the firm’s Kenya CEO Betty Mwangi, the incentive will provide relief to individuals in terms of convenience and discounts.
“We are in constant communication with our consumers and take their feedback into consideration. Making delivery fees free and affordable to consumers will incentivize them to shop daily on Jumia for their everyday essentials like FMCGs and the usual cupboard items,”
Mwangi said.
“We are all about pleasing our consumers and this is just one of the ways we hope to can help them shop comfortably and conveniently without having to worry about delivery fees, as they buy more while spending less.”
Products that qualify for the service have a ‘free delivery’ tag on the platform. They include electronics, phones and groceries among others.
