Jumia launches Tech Week Campaign

E-commerce platform Jumia expects thousands of customers to visit the platform during this year’s Tech Week Campaign to secure deals on phones, computing, televisions, games & consoles, cameras & other accessories.

The event will run from 16th – 27th March, under the theme: Upgrade Your Life. There will be discount deals of up to 50% off on over 8 million products available including Samsung, Xiaomi and Tornado products among others.

“It is estimated that Kenya had 13 million active internet users in 2018. Major campaigns on Jumia like Black Friday and Tech Week are widely seen to help digitize the economy – providing a reason for customers to log on & save time and money,” the firm’s Kenya CEO, Sam Chappatte, said in a statement

“Our customers asked us for deals beyond mobile phones and we decided to change our annual Mobile Week Campaign to Tech Week Campaign to incorporate other products”, said Mr. Chappatte, adding that “the biggest deals will be exclusive to the Jumia App.”

Customers are encouraged to download the official Jumia app to benefit from the best deals over the campaign. The share of Jumia’s sales originating from the App has continued to grow – reaching 60 percent vs 40 percent of purchases made via browsers.

To maximize on deals this Tech Week, customers are advised by Jumia to: download the Jumia App, use Mastercard every day from 5pm-10pm to get a 10% discount when making purchases, visit the Jumia site daily for flash sales, of up to 50 percent, from between 9:00 am and 12pm, spin the wheel and win vouchers on the App and to visit Jumia’s offline stores in Nairobi, Mombasa, Eldoret, Nakuru & Kisumu for any enquiries; or place your orders over the phone by calling 0711011011.
